    Default still not sure...

Ok....first the car started slightly steering to the right. Checked under the car and found my bushings were worn out and decided to replace some parts...lower controls arms(L and R), bushings, rotors(F), and pads (F).

Got an alignment done and took the car for a spin. Now the steering is pulling hard to the left when going around 60-80mph. On the local streets I don't feel too much of a pull. Rotated the tires to see what would happen and it's the samething.

There is a slight wear on the tires, but nothing drastic.
Would it be something that was done to the control arms or maybe tires?

    Any ideas? Thanks

go back and ask them if they test drove it after the alignment.

you could have worn dogbones in the back or bushing issues there but I cant see how that would change from pulling left to right.

They test drove it on the local roads. They said it was fine, but that's only going about 35-45 mph. It's just that going on the highway between 60-80 is a problem. Just called them today and the mechanic said the alignment was "dead straight" and my tires are the issue.

If your tires are the issue than changing them from side to side would have changed the direction of the pull wouldn't it? I would take it back and ask them what exactly is wrong with the tires in their opinion.

But would it drastically change my steering?

tires could very well affect it like that, rotate them from one side to the other and see if it pulls the other way. it could also be the rears but i doubt it.

Did they rotate the tires at the dealer?

I just dont understand why it would have changed directions if they didnt.

I have to wonder if the suspension was under load with the proper amount of weight in each seat when they torqued down the control arms? If one side isn't pre-loaded enough, I can imagine that that might cause some instability.
