Are the Meyle thrust arms comparable to the Lemforder? I know the Lemforder are highly recomended. Also which brand of sway bar links are recomended?
Thanks

From my experience, Meyle thrust arms (specifically the ball joints) fail much faster than Lemforder. Replacing the thrust arms is a big enough PITA (if you do it yourself) or expense (if you pay someone else), that it's worth the additional up-front cost for getting Lemforder arms. Likewise, Lemforder sway bar links have lasted much longer than other brands I've tried.
(except for the custom ones pictured below)

Drew...how long did the lemforder components lasted on your car? a year or longer?
Is there an outlet for those or are they 'one of a kinds'?

There is a reason to that, I hate doing the work twice.Originally Posted by KurtM
In a nutshell, Meyle products fail on the rubber. They are using the worse rubber available and the boots crack.
Or the rear strut monts fail.
Stick with Lemforder and if your car is lowered, keep in mind that it is putting a lot of stress on these parts.

I was able to get my hands on some SKF rod bearings as a one-time-only favor. The hard part was finding hardware with left-hand metric threading to make the links adjustable. For the shafts, I bought anodized aluminum rod & had it cut & tapped.
UUC Motorwerks has instructions to make your own custom sway bar links on their website. They're pretty much the same as mine, but they use SAE-threaded parts, which are MUCH easier to find.

I've had Lemforder thrust and control arms for 2 1/2 years, and they're still going strong. (That includes 7 track days.) One of the Lemforder sway bar links failed after 1 1/2 years. It's no-name replacement lasted 5 months.
