Default I figured out why my interior smelled like exhaust

No, I don't mean human exhaust. I had a strong exhaust fume odor in my car, especially now that it is winter and I've had the heater on. About the same time I noticed a hole in my crankcase ventilation hose (you can see the hole below and to the left of the oil dipstick). I replaced the hose. Voila - no more smell in the car. Completely gone. I guess it was venting noxious stuff under the hood and getting into my ventilation system.

Something to think about if you're experiencing the same thing.

Default There are other hoses too

I found holes in two more vent hoses that caused the same symptoms.
The hoses are located in the area just behind the top of the oil filter top cover, and connect under the plastic manifold cover. Two differnt diameters. I posted the P/Ns about a month ago.

Default Thanks! I'll find the PN's and check my hoses.

I changed my screen name from majorpanic back to "Chris I" like on the old board.
