Sorry, had to do it. :diablotin
I thought I would try to import a little of the magic from the old board. It has been a trick for me to get into the spirit of the new board, or rather to stop worrying that the intimacy of the old board will be lost in the new one (I'm sorry for using the word intimacy in the context of manly comraderie, but dammit that's what it is). But last night while listening to the Flaming Lips, I realized that it would be OK and that change is good sometimes.
Have to admit the smileys are amusing as hell and I like all the options for personalization that come with the new board. And if what I think is true, you can set it up to automatically e-mail you instantly with every reply to your post. Thay's way cool.
Today I pick up my 540 after having the following done:
Inspection II
Left motor mount replaced
Lemforder control arms installed
Both valve cover gaskets
Belts
Saving the small P/S hose leak for later when I have enough in the bank to pay for it. Now to add all to the Excel file so I can look like the biggest idiot when someone does a "how much have you spent on your car" poll....
Wife's been out of town -- been driving her new Grand Cherokee Limited 4.0 RWD. One thing I can say is, its auto tranny certainly isn't afraid to drop down low to pick up speed when firmly instructed to do so. It's a decent vehicle for what it is.
But I am extremely excited to have my sweetheart back (wife gets home tonight too).
yep, the closeness of the old board is gone. No more Booya, no more quick glances to see the smartasses that I enjoyed so much...change is good. :redbite:

If youare, ingore this. If not, try this:
Click on "User CP" near the top of the page, then click on "Edit Options". On the next screen scroll down until you see the "Thread Display Mode" section. Change it to hybrid. It makes the page look a little more like it used to. Helps some I guess.
