The car was running pretty rough idle and freeway driving.
I disconnected the connector to the air mass/flow sensor and
the car runs perfect, idle and freeway driving, though the
check engine light is on now. So, I figure the sensor is bad
Is it ok to leave the connector to the air mass/flow sensor OFF???
Anyone know how to test one?? They cost quite alot$$$$
Thanks,
Tim

You can leave it off but it is not advised as you should have some poor drivability. Not sure about the price, but check with BMA (888.BMA.3911). You should be able to test it with a voltmeter, not sure about the readings off the top of my head but they should fluctuate with load on the engine. I would consult a Bentley for correct values.

<Insert list of modifcations or clever saying here>
I purchased a new MAF today and it FIXED my rough idle problems.
All other sensors(tps,iat,ect,o2 sensor) checked out ok, and no vacuum leak.
