OT: What Camcorder do you recommend?

    :doowapsta

I am looking at the Canon Optura 20, http://www.canondv.com/optura10_20/index.html.

It is a mid range digital camcorder with some nice features. Any other options?
Any recommendations? I would like to stay within a $600-700 budget.

Gotta get one, the baby will be here in approximately 40 days.

    Thanks,
    Scott

im too lazy to loging right now (im at school). but it's me, ilya.

i work at bestbuy digital imaging department, so this is my stuff

if you want to stay in that range, the optura 20 isnt bad. look at the Elura 50, and ZR70. i think the ZR is 699 or so, which is right on for you. it has great features.

there's a sony i think trv38 or something like that (cant remember off the top of my head). it has a 3.5" lcd compared to a 2.5" on the canon, which is something i like.
i do believe it's touchscreen though, and that's something thta i do NOT like at all...

    just a thought.
