Forum style - just an idea ...

Just an idea guys ...

Firstly, every forum format will have it's stronger and weaker points for us all for various reasons. Personally, I found the one posting forum format quite exciting with its simple no-nonsense-style. Everyone was in the same room, able to see every new post instantly on one page, with the whole group there to reply if they could assist in any way to maybe a fellow bimmernut in distress. The weaker part seemed to be the ability to search quickly and efficiently through the archives.

This new format seems to have quite a few benefits as far as I have played with it so far. To name just one, the multiple forums is a much better way to organise posts into relevant topics for easier searching. However, this could possibly be at the cost of splitting people into smaller groups focusing on specific topics, possibly ruining what I like best of all ... the 'big party' fun atmosphere.

My suggestion is kind of to try and combine both benefits. Ok, this may sound obvious and you may be asking, how do we do that then you bl**dy brit? Ok, here goes. Keep a single main discussion forum where every post gets shown. But for every new post, ask the sender to pick a topic it relates to from a menu so that a copy of the message can also be stored under the relevant archive topic for easier searching.

Over to you guys. And if you guys ask me to shut the fcuk up, I will understand ... of course, I may not take the 5th (or brit equivalent) but as I said, it's just an idea!

Any oink-oinks or liars sorry lawyers out there may correct this, but I think it goes along the lines ...

This is often shortened to 'you're nicked!' though! :o(
