Are aftermarket mats better than the BMW Factory ones? I bought a full set a while back, around $100 usd and thought they were fairly flimsy especially for the price.

BMW used to make a number of different types loosely described as "City" which a a standard smooth looking mat and "Country" which are a heavy duty mat ribbed mat. I have had a set of Country mats in my car since it was new and aside from a small amount of wear on the drivers side they look like new and I suspect will oulast me! If you can get a set of these they will be very hardy as well as attractive to look at.
