The pulley below the alternator is the power steering pump pulley.
Hello, I'm new to posting here, but I've been able to utilize the expertise on here for years, which I greatly appreciate.
As for the car, '95 525iA, M50 engine. What is the pulley directly below the alternator? My A/C belt seems to have snapped, which then may have broken that pulley. The main fan belt, then, came off as well. When I went to replace the belts, I noticed that this particular pulley was gone. I can't seem to figure out what it is, but it looks like I could replace it by itself without having to replace the whole unit.
Thanks in advance for your help,

Most likely the pulley failed and that made the belt come off. Would be kinda odd for a PS pulley to come off though. Can you post a pic?
Thanks. Just picked up the new pulley. I'll install it tomorrow.
Sorry for the late reply. I work late during the week and haven't been able to take a decent pic until today. I hope I attach this correctly.
oh snap!
