if you like the looks of it, then get it, dont worry about our opinions. I just dont like the "all show no go" part - but, that is just that...an opinion.
The add says it's a 88 525i but it's from Japan so I actually think it's a 89 525i. I'm thinking of buying it, I know it may not be the style that the member here like but what do you think it's worth. here are some pictures. This is what I know about the car. It has a widebody kit, 18" Work wheels, custom exaust. I don't know the mileage but it would be around 60,000 to 100,000 miles.

considering its a kit car and probably not maintained well and just driven/beat I wouldnt spend much. if you have it inspected and it has maintenance records its a different story.

ps looks like the rims were used as curb feelers so there isn't any value in them.

I like the look, but like you said it would be all show no go, so a engine swap would be in order. The M20 is kinda a dead end engine isn't it? The wheels can be repaired. The place that is selling it has a good reputation for selling cars in good shape. The curb rash is very common of car comming from Japan.Originally Posted by epj3
I actually think it looks pretty good. I would switch that front bumper and exhaust, but the rest of the kit looks good.

guys I'm just looking for a $ range on what you think it would loosely be worth.
IMHO
Coffee can exhaust, over the top (OTT) fibreglass and rims...
Need I say more?

I would guess they would be asking $US 7-10k. Maybe more if there is more to the car. People always try to up the asking price by listing mods.Originally Posted by magnum

I'm not impressed. I wouldn't buy it, but I'd say it's worth between 2-3k.
