parking light issues, am I missing a piece?

ok, so i have a parking light out... (1992 525i) (the car was totalled and repaired on that side of the car) when i bought the car... all i got was new wiring and a parking light plastic box which was already installed. I look at the plug and its three female circular leads in a triangle formation... but the lamp specified is a male circular lamp whick is essentially like a house lightbulb without the screw part and two leads on the bottom... Am I missing a piece between the plug... and the bulb, if so what do i need to buy.
