Bill / Winfred / Anybody: where to get HYLOMAR?!

Guys - can't find this stuff anywhere, and I'll need it for the paper gasket on my new water pump. Any ideas on where I can pick it up? thanks! whit

I got mine at the local auto parts store, its a permatex product, you can also use permatex spray tack for the paper gaskets.

I've found it at Napa but there are other products that work just as well if not better.

28207 and came up with autozone, pep boys, napa , ace hardware, walmart(select items only) , kmart, carquest. I have no problems finding it at autozone. They have a rack of only permatex products and its in there, but don't ask a salesperson to help you because they usually have no idea what it is.

You'll prolly find it at autozone.. I did. (Although I'm nowhere near 28207 )

Bill - I checked AutoZone and couldn't find it - you're right about the people who work there, they had no clue. I'm going to check NAPA later today, although I couldn't find it on their web site. Good assumption on my being in charlotte - I am!

The guy at NAPA had no idea what I was talking about. I saw this and picked it up instead:

Probably. I just keep on running into idiots who don't know where to find things in their stores. And to make matters worse, I'm a typical guy and I can't find anything. So I'll have to go back tomorrow, return what I bought, and see if I can find the right thing. I'm sure it was just sitting there looking at me.
