Default Funky Feelin' 5 (kinda long)

    Hey Guys,

Today I pulled into my church's parking after going home for lunch.
At "parking lot speed" I noticed that my exhaust note had changed. It went from a pretty smooth purr to a kinda "chunky" sound (sry about the description). It sounded as if something was out of sync and the car felt like it was going to stall out. My first thought was maybe I had lost a cylinder.
I found a spot to park and put the car in neutral and after a couple of seconds the smooth idle was back.

Here's the background that may (or may not) be pertinent:

-I think my T-Stat's bad (unsure because of next point).
-Today was 2nd day since owning when coolant temp guage was at the 12 o'clock position (also 2nd warm day since purchase)
-drove it home in the "S" mode (didn't go )
-drove back to church in "E" mode

I searched the archives and the result was either the fuel pump or "CPS." However, the circumstances in those posts didn't apply to me. I have noticed that some mornings (cold) I feel a stall or slight hesitation coming on when just starting out. Give a litte gas and no worries, so I figured the motor was cold.
    Any thoughts?

disconnect your battery for like a half hour to reset the computers and dont worry about it until it happens again.

I know the battery is under the rear seat. How do I pop the seat? I can't find a latch, button, etc...?

Will that reset my odometer or anything else important?

    Thanks!

    Default Pull!

Pull up hard at the front of the seat near the driveline hump. Just watch you head when you pull up.

grab the seat front and yank up hard, the latch is in the middle of each passanger location. grab hard and pull, about the time your getting all hot and mad pull harder, straight up. After you do this a few times you will get better at it. The first time I had to do this I swore someone was ****ing with me cause it WOULD NOT pop loose. Got it the second day.
