Default Another one bites the dust... My 5 is totalled

Well another e34 went to the salvage yard. I totalled my 5 series last december. It took 2 months to settle the claim but now it is done. Accident was my fault, I rear-ended an explorer. It wasted my front end, barely hurt the other car. So, I wanted to buy an e36 M3, but they are still just a bit much for what I can pay cash for and I am actually a little disappointed in the quality of the e36. So while looking for another car, this one found me. Its an 89 944S2. I bought it from a Porsche Mechanic that has serviced it for the original owner for the last 10 or so years. One of only 970 imported in 89. It is only about 9 hp under the 944 turbo and it is faster than the 911's of that vintage. I paid less than my claim was so all is good. On that note, I will have some good parts for sale. I will probably offer them here before ebay.

    parts include
    Smoked Hella Rear taillights
AC Schnitzer Exhaust tip for 525
Hella Smoked High beams from the Hella smoked lights(all that survived)
    17" powder coated black wheels

Some other odds and ends too

I love the revised bumpers on that 89... that was a good call, going with the Porsche. Very very very sweet car.

Default Some other stuff I have...

EAT chip for 94 525, DME ends in 113(I think)
Custom kick panels for 6.5" component speakers.

I made these kick panels. They are sealed and the volumes are matched on each side. They direct the speakers into the center of the cabin, not at your feet. They are fiberglass and currently painted grey. You could paint them whatever color you wish to match your needs. You have to lose your dead pedal to use these. So if you want sound quality in your stereo, these will start to get you there. I have probably 40 hours of work in these and I sucked enough polyester resin fumes to make me sick for a week. I finished these the night before I wrecked my car. In fact I was on my way to pick up my head unit from a warranty repair. Yeah this accident was painful. I had alot of effort and $ in that car and I hated to see it go.

If anyone is interested in the kicks, I will post some pics tomorrow.

I am sure I will think of some more parts. I will have to post a list with prices.

Default Pic of the rear shows the smoked Hellas

This pic shows the rear of the car. You can see the smoked Hellas. The outter lights are red and amber but very dark. The inner lights(trunk) are all clear and smoked. You can see them at bekkers.com also.

Also this pic does not show the AC Schnitzer exhaust tip. It is chrome one piece, oval and makes you OEM exhaust look trick. It combines your two tips into one oval outlet. Has the all important AC Schnitzer logo on the top of it. It is no longer available. It used to retail for like $250.
