Default WTB BMW door sill strips for 540i

I am looking to buy all four door sill strips or sill plates for a 1995 BMW 540i. The ones I am looking for are silver gray color plastic with chrome like "BMW" in raised letters. They must be in excellent condition. Other years/models may work as well.

Following are the part numbers as I know them

    Front Door Sill Strip - 51 47 8 126 178 -need two
    Rear Door Sill Strip - 51 47 8 126 204 -need two

    TIA
    Thanks,

Default I got mine from BMA Autoparts

Do NOT buy "used" bottoms...they generally have rust on them.
They actually come primed from the factory so you need to get them sprayed. Find any good German car body shop that uses Sikkens paints and they will be able to do the job.

You may well find that when you remove them you might have some rust bubbles at the door bottoms/corners....You then need to get your doors sandblasted and resprayed if you aim on keeping the car.

I just went through the whole thing on my 95...

I have a set in good condition. They are off an Australian version 1995 M-Sport 540i 6-speed and were replaced with ///M sills (which the Australian version did not come with).

I hadn't intended to part with them, but I am sure I could be persuaded. Let me know if you would like me to take some pics and post them here.

    Thanks

Default Sure I would like to see what they look like

However, I suspect your price and shipping to Kentucky in the US would not be cost effective for me.

Let me know if you want to run aftermarket sills. I have a pair of authentic Racing Dynamics (made in Italy, not the US stuff) door sills, as well as a generic knockoff style that I run on my car (and a couple other people that I've sold them to).

    Default Thanks-but

Saw them, not what I am looking for. I do not want something that sticks on the exisitng sills. I want stock oem 540i sills that replace the 525i sills. Thanks anyway,
