Need differential for 535is

The 3.46 LSD diff in my 535is (with 163Kmiles) is whining so I'm looking for a replacement. I'd appreciate some recommendation where to find a decent used one(3.46 or 3.64 locking/LSD). I'll do the install myself. Also, can a diff from an automatic be easily used with a standard tranny?

there are a number of places to shop
junkyards are a great start =] but they
were asking too much for me

i ended up buying from diffsonline.com

metric mechanic sells diffs too.

I think it is just about right for the m30 5 speed combination.

Here's one on ebay (no affiliation). Looks "cosmetically challenged" but description sounds good. Should bolt in directly without any flange mods. Good price for a lsd.

I've still got a 3.23 LSD available, but that's about it in the way of E34 LSD's. If you do end up replacing that diff, let me know- I can probably get you a few $$$'s for your old diff.
