    Default Heater blower problem

1992 525SE with a/c but not full climate control. Thanks to advice received here, I changed my filter and now get air in the cabin! Unfortunately, the fan is either off or on high - there's nothing from the intermediate switch positions.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in anticipation,

Default Picture below gives general ...

instructions to remove resistor package, you should have a IHKR, so resistor should be in the LH Footwell, just up and right from the gas pedal, behind the carpet upper trimming. You are looking for component #5 from web link below.

Once removed, an Ohm meter should do it, just check proper continuity and ohm readings per the previous posted picture.
