Lock sync problem

Hey everyone,
I know this is a well travelled topic, but I am having an issue that I havent seen. My locks are out of sync, the passenger door is locking when I unlock and vice versa. This only happens when I use the keyless entry (BMW alarm factory installed). If I use the key to lock and unlock, it works fine. I went to try the resyncing procedure but my locks will not turn more than 45 degrees in either direction. I tried to apply a little elbow grease, but I really dont want to snap the key off in the lock. I tried both the drivers and passenger doors and same thing. Am I not doing something right or am I just really weak? Its a `95 525i, FYI. Thanks in advance and happy new year!
