If you are running E-31 turbines which a few members have on this board up to a 245mm tire width...which is a bit too tight in front... you should be fine...and need no spacers. Believe the offset for the E-31 stock wheels is around 13mm or so and a bit wider than stock E-34 wheels so about right. A decent setup would be to run 235 all the way around.

P.S. Tim that guide you link is pretty crude for BMW offsets...and not wheel specific which matters a lot.

I believe the E31 wheels use the same bolt pattern as the E34. In fact, many 850i/850CSi guys run the M5 parallels. Stock wheel for the 850CSi is 17"x8" ET13 and 17"x9" ET19. Not sure if the #9 were 16" or 17"...if 16" they still probably have similar offsets to the 17" wheels (13mm front, 19mm rear).

    Hope that helps...

    Cheers,
    Duey

I'm with George on this one, care is required...Leigh doesn't show my stock ET18/22 fitment on OEM #5's in their chart...

    Default That's the E31 Turbine...details

They are a straight bolt on to the E34, no spacers required. The offset is an ET15 vs. the ET20 for the stock rims.

Biggest tire you can comfortably get is the 225/55/r16. Micah had some 245 fat daddys and didn't have good results.

I have the RD sways and the tires will rub the front bar when at full lock. I just try not to do this.

It's a nice rim if you can find a good set. Forged. Easy to clean. The 16" rim gives a nice ride. I have 2 sets I like 'em so much!

    Cheers!

    Jeff
