    Default Hub-centric Ring Question

My Rondell #57's from Bekker's (thanks John!) arrived at my local tire shop today. They look awesome! I didn't know they would come with the plastic centering rings. I assume I'll have to use them. The expert tire buster was out today so I'll have to wait until tommorow to mount them up. I'm a little leery of plastic rings. Does anyone know if these rings are made of a more durable material such as aluminum? If so where can I get them?

Default The metal ones are made of...

either Aluminium LM6 strontium modified rim Alloy or Aluminium Alloy 6082. There might be other metals out there. I'm with you, I'd stay away from plastic.

I got a question though, what made you decide to buy Rondell? I'm in the market for wheels and was thinking about buying Rondell #21's. Donno much about this brand other than some members here have used them before.

Check this site provided by Jason to see if they have what you're looking for:

    Default Rondell Wheels

    Hector
I had heard of Rondell before I bought them in magazines and other literature. According to John at Bekkers, they were an oem supplier to BMW at one time, are equal to BMW-BBS oem wheels and are a better quality than the Italian made replicas. I opened the boxes today and the first thing I noticed is they are painted front and rear. The lips are polished. The BMW-BBS e38 wheels I currently use are not painted but primed on the inside. The overall finish and quality seem to be as good or better as what I have now. As for ride, trueness and durability I won't know until tommorow. BTW do you know where I can bet the metallic hub centering rings you mentioned?
    Thanks,
    JR

Default Thanks for the info dude. I had a feeling...

these wheels were of pretty good quality. When I found these wheels, and noticed they were made in Germany, I thought they'd be high quality stuff. Even in the pictures you can see/feel/sense something special about them.

Try these sites for hub centrics They have a lot on wheel accessories and such.
