Thread: Updated mirrors?

    Default Updated mirrors?

    Hello,

My car is an early 92 with the square mirrors of the early variety. I am interested in updating the look of the car with either the later 92+ style wing mirror or m3 style mirrors. I would like to maintain the heated and electric functions though.

Will the later mirrors fit on an early e34? Do I need to find some without the memory function? How much should they cost?

Any good leads on m3 heated mirrors?

    Thanks in advance

Not sure, but if you already have heating and electric functions on your early 92, then I would think that the real issue is the mounting point of the newer style mirrors...

The new ones mount the same. Make sure your get mirrors off a non-memory car or else the wiring harness is a pain. Even non-memory mirrors may have a different wiring setup so you may have to do a bit of work. See the link for info...

I got my E34 M5 mirrors from a guy who got them off a wreck. Very nice.
