Default K Guys way OT computer help...

I know someone looking for something for their father and I always get at least a good direction here to turn to for help.

The father is a parapalegic but has limited use of his arms and fingers but to be able to type would be devistatingly frustrating. So... I have heard of a deal that the dude could talk into that turns voice into words on screen and then click a few buttons and save or email.

Am I hallucinating from Bimmer withdrawal or is this real?

If anyone has any clue as to what I'm talking about please email me or post links. This is a serious post so please if you can help let me know or post.

    Thanks everyone!

IBM has one of the best Talk to Text program available... I looked into it for my mobile car pc for automation, it apparently works really easy. I think its called Naturally Speaking... Dragon Naturally Speaking... can't remember, but yeah it's not cheap.

QPointer Voice is another one to consider. We have a guy at work that uses it.

Jeff, I'm with Tiger...a friend's wife is an occupational therapist and for folks with hand/dexterity problems, Dragon is the preferred voice recognition kit. In fact, IIRC, the Dragon kit also comes with microphone, etc...
