    Default Heater on Max hot all the time?

    Hey,
    I started to use my heater recently and noticed it is tryong to cook my alive... the heater is on max heat all the time even though I set it to max cool. Anyone got an idea? 94 540i... thanks!

    that sounds like your heatervalve is sticking in some position. i found that just opening mine up and using some metal polish on the abraded parts fixed it right up, yours might be more seriously damaged.

    Tiger,

    Aren't you out in Cali? Why are you using the heater if that is the case

    Do you have your center vent thumbwheel on red, blue, or in between? Have you switched it up lately? It won't be scalding hot if it is south and you turn the temp to full cold but it will be warm.

    Wrong coast... I'd turn heat up to keep girls in bikinis.
