    Default Headlight removal procedure

Hello, I was wondering if anyone had a guide on the procedure to remove the headlights to install euro ones (picture guide would be perfect).

    Cheers,

It's sort of a pain in the you-know what. Don't have any pictures but basically you'll need to do the following:

I'm assuming you plan to just swap the lights, not the entire assembly. Swapping the lights is more work than the whole assembley.

    - pull the front valance
    - pull the front grills
    - unscrew the plastic headlight bracket (holds the low and high beam)
    - with the bracket out of the car, carefully rotate the adjuster screws out of the bracket. If the nylon is old and baked, they may not survive. Good to have new adjuster screws handy. Likely an order item and they are like $3 to $6 each. Annoying.
    - replace the 900x wiring harnesses with the new plug ends needed for the H1 lights. Don has a good website with the BMW parts you'll need for this.
    - Tap the city lights into the parking light circuit. Plan to have to unravel some of the lighting harness to do this.
    - Put humpty dumpty back together again. Be sure to aim the new lights correctly.

    Have fun!

Not too hard I just modified the supplied caps so that i could use the 9006 adapters that came with my headlights... now i don't use them since i have HIDs.
