a 2.5 liter motor running 7.7 to 1 compression with a maximum boost of 10psi and it does have a knock sensor to determine knock and open the waste gate
Good pic Bill. Not surprised about the low compression and knock sensor...pretty std fare for factory turbos...even older jobs like that. Course we won't say any more than that...lol. As you know...thing about low compression turbo cars ...particularly with small displacement...they tend to have almost no low end torque. Gotta love the carb cannister and wacky intercooler. Have to ask...how does that monstrocity drive? There is a guy on the Roadfly E-32 board with one.
Only someone brave enough to dive under dashboards would be brave enough to dive under that hood.
yuck, reminds me of doing a compression test on a early xjs v12, **** in the way everywere
all america wants is cold beer warm cat and a place to take a poop with a door on it
Ah Scott BMW's & Maserati's same choices
done....marelli electrics, so of course there has to be at least one electrical problem, diff howling so I'm going to try some redline but from what i see on the net the diff usually goes out about this time.. just a whole bunch of little garbage that I'll have to wait forever for parts on... the door brake was broken where it attaches to the body, I was able to weld that back up and fix,the the door lock on the drivers side was bad, I disassembled that and got it working , short one pin though in the lock.. just lots of little things like that , that will add up big in time for me....timing belt and carb linkage...
this stuff will exceed the value of the car very quickly...Its been sitting for a few years in his garage.
