Anyone know the story on this car? Someone went to the trouble and expense of fitting a Callaway turbo on a brand new car and then basically never drove it?? What's wrong with this picture?

    Hi Jason,
I would trade my car and all the other stuff I could steal ;-) for that car in a heartbeat. To me the E-23 was quite beautiful...I just love the light and flowing lines of the car including the distinctive headrests....automotive art. The HVAC in the thing is another story :-) Has to be the finest E-23 on the planet but I know one other collector that paid an arm and a leg for an even more rare E-23 745i turbo that has 17" no.5 cross-spokes on it and the turbo is warmed over a bit. He says he loves outrunning muscle cars as it runs in the 13's and the car is immaculate along with the rest of his collection which includes a couple of vintage M cars also with very low miles and of course an E-32 which he went to Germany to pick up...brought it back to the US and had Dinan go through it...probably the nicest 750iL in the US. Ahh to be rich :-)
    Thanks for sharing bro.
