    Hey guys whats the top speed in a 94 540i? I topped out at 130
    Hey anyone out there from the Sarasota Florida area????

    I know its limited but are there two differnent limiters because the 540 I had last year wasn't limited until 145ish after that I backed off it ( yes scared!!!)

    what i mean by 2 limiters is my other 94 540i was limited at 145ish ned in my new 94 540i it tops out at 130

    the top speed is limited at 155

    and i believe its capable of doing 160+, during perfect conditions

    US cars are limited to 128mph. The speedo is off when you get up to higher speeds. Maybe your old one was chipped, or not a US spec car.
