Default HELP - Dashboard display not working

The LCD panel which shows the odometer, tripmeter, OBC, shift postion and mode back lights but dont show the characters. I tried swapping it with another that is suppose to be good but it still doesnt work. I also changed the bulbs.

Could this be a capacitor problem. All of the guages work fine.

    Any input is helpful

PS - Yes, I did disconnect the battery before installing the LCD module

yup capacitors. do you get the chime as well? Horrible it is!
Either get another board and swap the coding plug ( see the .e34.net man page ) or do the capacitor swap thing.
