Default New radiator & too much pressure??

Dropped in new radiator today (new upper, and lower hoses as well)....

flushed the system, new BMW coolant, m60 engine...

If I have too much in the overflow tank, will too much pressure build up?

any sure fire ways of testing to see if the return hose is blocked?? I put it to my lips and was able to blow air through....

I'm just worried about this excessive pressure thing, because I just noticed after a semi hard run of the car some of that white dried coolant on the radiator in the EXACT same place as where coolant was leaking previously. (just a real small amount though)

Default Its not an overflow tank, its an expansion tank and an integral part of

the cooling system.... Overflow tanks aren't under pressure... this tank should not be overfilled otherwise when normal expansion takes place it will be forced to come out the pressure relief on the cap

    Default

So there is a pressure relief thing (whew)

I think some of the problem might be the return line on the radiator side..... I've only got the hose connected with a zip tie right now... I seemed to have misplaced the hose clamp in the swap earlier today.

But I did pick up another clamp today at the stealer..... I'll hafta wake up early before church tomorrow (when the engine has had time to cool) bust off the zip tie, pull the hose, and install the clamp.

(still crossing my fingers that I didn't jack up this new radiator though)
