Stock Stereo Questions
Greetings,
Proud new owner of an Alusil blocked '95 540 auto.
I was wondering about quirks, etc. with the stock stereo. Mine acts like it must "warm up" prior to sounding right. Prior to to this warm up event, volume fades in and out, then stabilizes but sound is distorted. After a few more minutes, it comes on fine. Any of you all experience this? Could humidity be a factor, as it has been both hot & humid here in NC?

Thanks for the reply.
Acts the same on either CD or FM. I haven't tried AM or tape yet. Think I will pull the head unit and see about cleaning the contacts on the volume pot.
