I don't mind buying a reasonably priced tool. The $150 for the BMW tool is a bit much, but under $50 is no big deal since I have two friends with E34's that are a little behind in milage and I am sure they will use the tool within the next couple of years.

Or, maybe I rent the BMW tool from Koala?! But heck, shipping back and forth is probably $20 to $30 all by itself!

FYI, the car already drives much better with the new thrust arms! I put the M5 bushings in instead of the 750's. Difficult to say they ride better or not, just different. My old arms already had the 750s in as a bushing swap was done about three years ago.
