Default new exhaust AND new clutch? great!

Okay so I picked up the stick car yesterday.

Yeah...I still can't drive it, but I will by the time this weekend is done.

But, the exhasut is loud. I'm afraid the thing won't pass inpsection!!! I looked up prices for exhaust and i saw about $450 for both the front and the rear. Great.
Anyone know anywhere else I could go? Not looking to spend $1k on this car in the first week!
(I have 10 days to get the car inspected)

When you say the exhaust is loud, are there rust holes in it, or a loose connection? This can be temporarily repaired by a local exhaust shop. Mine has a shitload of holes that were welded and it functions fine, although I am planning on replacing it of course. I would call a local exhaust shop and ask their opinion, or at least crawl under the car and check on what's physically damaged.
