i had to drive around in sport mode to get the cats hot and then drove it right into the testing bay immediately before the cats cooled off. passed easily then.
'92 525it w/205,000. Car running lean. CO off. Runs great, no drivability problems. Checked for fault codes came up empty. Replaced O2 sensor.
The HC's today were 1.7762 GPM, State Std. is 1.0 and the HOx were 3.6095 GPM, State Std. is 2.2.
Any thoughts before I go get it tested again?
Thanks

Yeah, make sure it's good and warm. Got any vacumn leaks? I also run a bottle of injector cleaner through mine and use 93 octane. Never failed yet, and with one of Mark's chips in it too.
If you post your numbers, someone here can likely pin it down pretty well for you.

I remember reading about some emmision test past chemical that you can buy at the auto parts store to help you pass emmissions testing.

I do this for my '90 m30 and my 200K Mazda. The Mazda burns a bit of oil. During its last state emissions test here in CA, it passed with flying colors...
