    Default Speaker balance wheel

Hi guys, so i have a 4 channel sony stereo, but the wiring for my car only has 2 channels. my car is an early 1988 525i so it doesnt have the cool stereo stuff.

i have a little wheel close to my right knee (the potentiometer on the wheel seems to be pretty busted, only a specific position works, otherwise its quite noisy), that adjust the forward and backwards balance for the speakers. im asuming the 4 speakers are connected to that wheel. is it possible to remove it, and just have the 4 wires into the stereo from there, so i dont have to redo the whole installation?

if anyone has more information on the wiring, i would really appreciate some help. regards

Not so sure on an 88 but the amp and stuff is in the trunk. Your gyroscope wheel plays little except a custom tuning front and rear. Connecting the wires should be minimal in regards. Should still be center balanced (front/rear) and no worries.
