Trip computer Display

Hello all..
I just bought my first BMW, a 1995 540I. It's a great car and I am really happy with it. Love the V8 Power!

One nagging question.. How do I increase the display brightness on the trip computer (the one to the right of the radio)?

....to increase/decrease the OBC display light as such. But in the upper right-hand corner of the unit is a small light sensor. Above the S/R button. It looks like a glassy spot. I believe it increases the intensity in darker conditions, so try to cover it with your finger or something and see if the light output increases. It might take a few seconds to adjust.

Here's the procedure to replace the backlight display bulbs in the OBC, thanks to Don Gale. It doesn't look too tough to do.

I had the cover off the right side yesterday, but I didn't know how to get the computer out. This looks easy.
