Default Effect of temperature on ATF volume

Have been looking for a chart which gives information on this for some time and finally found one for Dexron III. I calculate that if the trans holds 9 litres of ATF, it will increase in volume by 135cc for every 20 degrees C of temperature gain. That's only a tea cup full. But it is the top and bottom temp as specified in the filling procedure. And the cups can add up

Good find, Sir. Here is also a good info on temperature based and level with dipstick. Scroll down http://www.europeantransmissions.com...ansService.pdf
Depending on temperature between 20 - 80 degree Celsius the min level can be 3 to 31mm! Max 15 - 43mm!
    That is a lot!
