Need a bit of help to identify

I would like to know about my car, I believe BMW used a sequential numbering system. So what do I have?

I just bought this and the head has been rebuilt recently, the car is unmodified and comes fairly well spec'd with almost everything working well. A mate who is a very good race car builder and driver took it for a test drive and was happy with the gearbox and steering and suspension although he did say the rear was a little soft but not bad.
The rev counter stops at around 5000rpm but car keeps going, is this something thats an easy fix?
I need a new CD cartridge for the changer.

I intend on a genral tidy and maybe some minor mods but I want it basically stock as I already had a fun car for road, drags and circuit.

you know everything about the car....its a rhd drive 535i in manual.Not the NZ "is" model but relatively rare in manual...what is the cd stacker make...if its a sony i have a cartridge.
I dont think your car will have a cat.

Thanks mate. So am I correct in thinking its the 4th produced HD12 ? or does BF00004 mean something else.
I have asked Team McMillan BMW for a build list of the extras like the electric roof, electric seats, LSD and stuff.

Yes I would be keen on the cartridge, its a 10 disc Sony.
