Default Bump Stops for lowered cars

    http://www.realoem.com/bmw/partxref.do?part=31332225377

    part# 31332225377

You can google the part # for a picture, not going to post it here. The only difference between this and the stock ones is that this one is only 2" tall. Works perfectly in my car which is pretty low. I"m not sure but I think the M5 stops were 3" tall and 3x the cost.

If this is incorrect please reply. Only posting this for future searches in regards to bump stops and linking it in the archives.

That is front only, what about the rear ones... does anyone have them (I've never seen one)?

Good Q! Were supposed to have them:

I do not remember what I did for the rears, I don't think I installed any bump stops back there. Would need to look and that's pretty impossible without going in the air.

Maybe the trailing arm/subframe takes the hit if the bumpstop is missing, else all that shock/weight in impact would go in shear through the M10 bolt thru the bottom of the shock at the connection to the trailing arm. Also, the shock mount is weak as piss too. Also, the spring seat mount on the shock body is weak as piss... LOL!

I think the shock bottoms out on the top perch and the brunt goes to the top shock mount, heard this a couple times full load pulling in and out of parking lots. Not a pleasant sound or feeling lol.
