Default I Think I Want To Buy Some Wheels For The E34 But Have ????s

So I was looking on eBay and found some wheels that were for a great price...

    couple questions I have...

    a) Will a 2004 545i wheels bolt on without spacers?

I looked under tirerack.com and noticed that they have 17-20mm offsets...is that too much?

If I am not mistaken the offset on the E34 is about the same?

    b) What size do you guys recommend?

The ones I found are 18"...will that be a horrible ride or what?!

I was initially looking at 17" but cant find the ones I want.

    Thanks for the help! =)

They are the deep dish wheels...I think they are usually seen on the E39 5 series...

its not the M-Pars (even though those would be super nice yet $$$$) its a fine basket weave with a fat lip...

Correcto mundo, offset is 20 for the e34, and for most 5 series for that matter; except for M5 by a small margin, and AWD e34 which is a rare item. E34 M5s do have 18 inch on some, and also Alpina, AC Schnitzer or Dinan moded ones, but can't quite recommend that for a regular e34, the suspension being somewhat different.

    Lots of info here: http://www.bmwe34.net/Wiki/tiki-index.php?page=Wheels

Would you say that it would "ruin" my suspension if I get the 18?

    Rough Ride?

    Overall Horrible ride?

b/c in that case I am not sure if its worth it...
