Default Farout... e34s everywhere in Wellington, NZ

Farout... there are e34s everywhere in Wellington, NZ.

Far more than e30s even, and I've seen a few of them!

Maybe AC/DC fans are more likley to drive e34s than other cars? They are playing here this week.

Saw a silver RHD 540iT (Jap import) yesterday. It was not a popular variant given that it was so expensive, but sold a few in Japan, Europe and the US. None were sold in Aus or NZ AFAIK. My 525iT is the best I could find.

And there one was, right in front of my hire 'car'. Being used as a work hack by a painter. Grrr... the world really isn't fair to old BMWs!

Ahhh. I forgot about you Paul. Let me guess, yours is black? The 540iT I saw had a very distincive personal number plate which I promptly forgot, and the non-touring variety of roof racks. Off to Aucklnad tomorrow though. I like Wello. All the place needs is a someone to fix the civic design strategy and a barista training facility. It took me a whole week to find someone who cold make coffee w/o burning the milk.

    Default ... just saw another...

EDIT: Saw another ex-Japan 540i Touring on Waikanae, a volcanic island in Auckland Harbour. All cars get trashed there. It was very dusty, and looked city battered.

I think you mean Waiheke Island.

Waikanae is a west coast beach north of Wellington.

There are a lot of ex Japan imports here, NZ new cars command higher prices if they have a good service record. Most of us cant read Japanese so dont know about the import's service history.

    Nick,
    We have one here too.
The guy that owns the #25 B&H E30 M3 uses it for a tow vehicle.
