Default I never remebered snow like that in Huddersfield...

...when I was young. Hope you are enjoying it as we in Chicago have -10C temps and are bracing for 20 cm of snow in the next 24 hours.

Damn that global warming. We need to increase taxes now to take care of it.

We're at 23cm snow in the last 24 hours, and it's not slowing down... looking out of the window now and it's flinging snow down!

Huddersfield? You probably remember the rhyme then:
Lancashire is all hills and moors,
    Yorkshire is all mills....

    Default Yes I do...

...my father used to work as a worsted weaver at one of the mills there in the 50's and 60' before we left for Canada.

I'm from Lancashire and confess I changed the rhyme round Nothing against Huddersfield but I think moving to Canada was a wise move.

It's completely treacherous out there right now, bright sunshine is glaring everywhere - and melting the top layer of compacted ice.

    Where's my snowchains?

Dont know anybody that has winter tyres let alone snow chains Suggest you take a bottle of water with you for when your washers freeze up. Its better than stopping on the hard shoulder to throw snow at the screen
