Default How to remove the hazard switch?

I broke the last one, hence why I'm posting here.

I spilled some tea in my center console, but it had no sugar at all, so I don't know why it's malfunctioning. Anyway, my hazards are 'spazzing' out. They will be off for a few hours, then turn on and blink in irregular patterns.

Default Here is what I did

I just redid my heater core a few months ago and all I did was pry it up gently from each end a bit at a time. At some point it will just 'pop' out on its' own. Just be aware that the wires underneath are short and it will not come out that far.

it is probably not the hazzrd switch, >90% is the crash control relay. Had the same years back and almost no one knew. I tried many things, new hazzard switch, crash sensor, hazzard relay. Took me 4 months to find it.
Then I found a Service bulletin that describes that a certain number of relays are defective and should be changed.
    I replaced it, prob solved.
Some have repaired it, it sits right side of the LKM and crash alarmgeber is written on it, the brown relay

It stopped flashing after I aired it out really good, but i had one more question for Shogun. Does my car even have a crash relay? I don't and have never had airbags or an alarm system, nor isit wired for any of the standard upgrades like a CD changer, etc. Remember, I have an early build M20 525i.

that module is different from the airbag sensors or car alarm.
in case of a crash it
    -unlocks the doors
    -switches on hazzard lights
    -cuts off fuel pumps (?)
    -switches on interior light (?)

    as far as I understand.
the actual crash sensor is on the E32 located under the rear seat on the frame of the seat, very much hiding. Never opened one but I read on some forums that there is a kind of ball inside.

That crash alarm Geber is a module/relay and is located in the fuse box, it looks like this

but the actual crash module is under the seat

and Andre in Germany is offering the same part for
    E34 and E32 http://cgi.ebay.de/BMW-E32-E34-RELAI...item562b15cc5c

so it must be there. I remember when I disassembled a 750, the car was to the bare bones and only chassis was left, before sending it to the crusher I checked all again and finally found that module bolted onto the seat frame of the rear seats, but inside the frame. Very difficult to find.
    Next to this hiding part

That part includes also the fuse for OBC and is the drive away protection. So in case the car does not start and the OBC is dark, check this fuse, at least on all E32, probably also on E34
