OT: Valve spring seat modification
This popped up when I was viewing one of Shogun's videos on Youtube:

Turning bits down cos you got the wrong springs seems a bit rum to me

Changing spring seat dimensions is pretty common, usually the outside dia is increased but no harm in doing this. He only removed a few thou so no significant weakening in the guide area.
