    Default I'm coming home... though not quite an E34 :P

    Well, shopping around a few 8 series has turned up the following - a '91 850i, she's relatively high miles at 142k, but the autobox is behaving like new and she's running super smooth once warmed up.

    Couldnt resist the V12 in the end, the noise and the torque curve nailed it for me. The fuel economy is going to be horrific, but it'll be a weekend only car slapped a deposit down on it and am picking it up friday...

    Body is very tidy, interior needs a bit of a clean and a tidyup, but generally a very very clean car...

    Best bit is that once I've got the cash back from the subaru and bought it I'll have £2k left over to throw parts at it and get a decent exhaust on it

    very nice. I sold one with same colour last weekend to an E31 fan, maybe you remember the 1990 850i with only 98.000 km which I saved from the press on the cash for... program. He is also very happy with it. Before he left to his home 600 miles away, I installed on the 850 a new fan clutch and we fixed the passenger side seat (same problem as on the E34, twisted seat or no moving seat). In additon he got from me the leather rejuvenation kit and seats look very nice now. You can get that leather rejuvenation kit from Harry in Germany directly, he has a shop in the German leather capital Worms, drives an E32 and is a specialist

    Tell him best regards from me and you get maybe a discount on the listed prices. Speaks English, as he deals a lot also with U.S. customer for drivers gloves from Peccari leather

    So, I assume you are my next customer for the performance chips for the 750, 2 x MOTRONIC and one for the EML for much better throttle response and elimination of the 250 kmh limiter.
    Should be a -352 chip set, the older M70 has the -156 version.
    The guys in Germany like them very much.

    Hmm, do tell me more sir!

    Something I forgot to say was that it's got a minor oil leak on the cam chain cover somewhere, is this a common fault?

    chips:
    more HP up to 10%
    more Nm up to 10%
    no need to change to high octance fuel
    250 kmh speed limiter eliminated by the new EML chip
    optimized EML chip which gives a sportier throttle response and better acceleration
    better gas mileage

    the chips are known on the German 7-forum forum as Rottaler2 chips. Many M70 owners have them installed.
    Price is in your PM box.

    M70 oil leaks - points to check
    1 = upper timing case
    2 = valve cover gaskets
    3 = chain tensioner O-ring
    4 = return line oil filteroil pan
    5 = upper oil pan
    6 = small/lower oil pan
    7 = oil level switch O-ring
