    Default Whats this stalk for?

Is it for power adjusting steering column? I'm referring to the one not highlighted by the sun.

Yes and it doesn't belong in an '89.

believe this photo is of a 95 because the steering wheel has an acutal rondel vs stamped in the airbag cover.
    Thanks,

That would make sense. I was assuming it was the car belonging to the poster.

May be possible. However, you may need to avoid a car made after 1/95 as it has a more advanced security system/lock which may not be compatible with an older car.

What is a "value pack" ? Is it the same as the preminum package?
BTW, all US e34 95's had a "telescoping steering wheel adjustment" regardless of trim per my 95 brochure.

All '95s have telescoping columns, but early non-540 '95s have manual telescope, all later '95 cars (I think 1/95 was the changeover) have power telescope. Might be easier to just swap the power column with a manual one because of the way the mechanisms work. EWS shouldn't be a problem, regardless, because the antenna ring fits around the ignition cylinder...standardized.

edit: sorry russell, that wasn't necessarily directed at you, just hit "respond"
