    Default 750iL 96 throttle failure

    hi all, a friend got a 750iL this car been parking for ages with a problem no one could solve, it simply idles 100% fine, but no throttle responce at all. now all of the following been checked with no results to fix.
    EML unit
    ECU's
    throttle pot.
    wires been checked all with AVO meter
    transmission ECU

    any idea what would it be?

    clean the throttle valves, not only inside, disassemble them and clean them, they got sticky.

    well they were replaced with new ones, still no response, the only thing happening is that the car runs on idle very well. the car is sitting in one of the workshops that has other cars from scrapped. so they were trying to replace everything one by one, the diagnostice tool is saying nothing so it must be something funny.

    I had this occur once on a 750 that was not used for a long while. Battery went dead, car started and ran on a jump but as you describe.
    Turned out to be low voltage, dead battery was sapping all electricity. A new battery put things right.
