Thread: E34 Front Driver-Side Power Seat "Half-Broke"

  1. #1

    Default E34 Front Driver-Side Power Seat "Half-Broke"

The front driver seat in my E34 is behaving stry. The seat bottom will move forward and backwards, up and down; however, when I try to tilt the seat back, only the left side of the seat will go back, while the right side stays stationary. The result is a twisted seat. If you were to sit in it, your left shoulder would be reclining, while your right shoulder was sitting up straight. Of course, this is great if you want to look out the window, but not so comfortable for driving forward.

Anyone know anything about this? Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks for the original post AND follow up, I need to fix my seats, but couldn't find such an awesome write up as the link you posted! Kudos for the write up complete with great pictures and detailed instructions on how to fix it... stuff like this should be added to the Bentley!
