    Default Sunroof switch & dimmer

    Hello

I have just finished repairing my sunroof switch, and I am wondering why the bulb, inside the switch, is not affected by the dimmer control in the dashboard?

    The bulb itself works fine.

Is the sunroof switch the only bulb, besides the front center console power window switch, which is not connected to the dimmer.

I have measured voltage between pin 1(which is power) and pin 6(which is ground) in connector X643. Voltage is the same whatever way the dimmer is moving.

I am just curios if this my problem or maybe BMW decided this is the way it should be.

    Thanks for any input.

Reading through the ETM, I found the sunroof switch is wired directly from the light switch, and not the dimmer switch.

This is actually good news for me, as I am in the process of fitting mood LED lights in the sunroof panel. Because if the sunroof switch could dim, the LEDīs would not function.
