How to install the footwell trim panel

I have been struggling to find a way to install the footwell trim panel with the duct work intact. On my 1989 535i there is only one way.

Here is what I have found.




Pull trim straight out

Pull left half of trim straight out and slide the right side to the left to remove

Turn thumb screws only 1/4 turn to remove. Only remove the screw that is pointed out in the above picture. The rest of the screws hold the airduct in place. No need to remove those
