Default No Power from Fuel Pump Relay to Fuse

Everything else checks out but there is no power going out of the relay to the fuse.. any ideas?

    I replaced the relay...

    Cheers,
    Evan

that seems backwards to me...wouldnt the fuse be protecting the relay?

Does seem funny. But there IS supposed to be a fuse between relay and pump. Evan, can you plse clarify if you are getting power going out of the relay and its just not arriving at the fuse? Of course you can take the relay out and jumper the pins to prove this. Or is the relay just not throwing?

I presume the engine does not start ?
Crank position sensor (presuming the V8 has one), alarm, ......?
Might be worth putting power directly to fuel pump to see if it pumps - if so, that would rule that out.

It'll be your drive way protection triggered. Did you disconnect the battery prior to this? If not, check your 80A flexbile link (this is not a simple check- its a very careful one to check for current flow more than voltage). If you don't have 80A circuit powered in a late e34 you tend to suffer a lot more than a few little annoyances...
